Mia Copying me

We've got a toofer!!

5 days away from turning 9 months old, Mia finally has her first tooth. I am so excited, i've been sticking my finger in her mouth all day. She getting to be such a big girl. I can't believe we'll be celebrating her birthday in 3 months.

Our little Tiger Cub Scout

Here's our big first grader in his Tiger Cub attire for our first pack meeting yesterday. And by "our meeting", i mean mine and Andrew's. I saved myself the embarrassment of posting my picture too, but I also have a boy scout uniform. I volunteered to be the den leader for 9 boys. So yes, that means I am a girl scout AND a boy scout now. Good times!!! But, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Mia's Baptism

We were able to have Mia baptized while we were in San Diego last month. Kaylin, Andrew, Jack and I were all baptized at the same church, Community Lutheran Church, in Escondido. The church is very meaningful to us because it's the church where James and I were married, and where James' mom, Sarah, is the office manager. We waited to have her baptized, so that we could have it done at the same church and so that our families could attend. Happy baptism Mia!

(LOL, can you see Kaylin messing around in the corner of the picture?)

My mom took this picture of us with James' family. His mom and dad are in the middle front with the kids. Top L to R: James' sister, Victoria, Brother Simon, me, James and Jack, and Brother Justin)

random stuff...

Well, I'm a chicken. We were all registered and set up to receive our homeschooling supplies, but I freaked and changed my mind. I feel like such a wimp, but I just couldn't face the challenge. So, when we got back from vacation, I re-registered them for school and they were assigned to a different track. Since we are year-round, they have already missed the first 3 weeks of school, but on a better note, they have awesome teachers and new friends. I am now enjoying my time with Jack and Mia during the day. It seems so quiet with only two kids at home.

Here are Kaylin and Andrew posing for a picture at school on their first day.

Mia learned to crawl and pull up on our trip (7 1/2 months). Here she is today, up to mischief.

Family Pictures

While we were in San Diego last month, we had some pictures taken with my side of the family. The pictures turned out nicely, although they didn't scan very well.

The kiddos.

My mom and I with my girls.

My whole family.

Our first family picture with Mia.
